FuelForm tracks calories as easily as texting a friend.

Say it, snap it, type it or scan it. FuelForm's AI works out the calories, macros and nutrients in seconds — and hands you an estimate you can check and correct before it counts.

Logging

Log it the way you'd describe it out loud.

No database search. No scrolling through 40 versions of “chicken breast”. Tell FuelForm what you ate the way you'd tell a person.

Type it

“Chicken burrito bowl with extra guac.” Plain language is enough.

Snap it

Photograph the plate — or the label — and let vision do the reading.

Say it

Speak your meal while you're still holding the fork. Works in your language.

Scan it

Barcode for packaged food, so branded products land exact, not approximate.

Nutrition

The AI breaks the meal down, ingredient by ingredient.

You get a full breakdown you can actually interrogate — not one opaque number. Wrong portion? Change it, and every total recalculates.

  • Per-ingredient detailEach component listed with its own energy and macros.
  • Macros that add upMeal totals always equal the sum of the ingredients beneath them.
  • Beyond the big threeFibre, sugar and sodium tracked alongside protein, carbs and fat.
  • Honest confidenceName-only guesses are flagged for review instead of shown as certain.
FuelForm meal detail screen listing each ingredient with its own energy and macro values, and an editable total at the top.

On a GLP-1 or peptide protocol

The medication handles the deficit. It doesn't handle protein.

Appetite suppression isn't selective — it removes the chicken as readily as the biscuit. When intake drops by a third, protein and fibre usually drop with it, and that's a large part of what decides whether the weight you lose is fat or muscle.

FuelForm doesn't screen you, prescribe anything, or ask what you're taking — that's between you and your prescriber. What it does is let you put the numbers that matter where the calorie count usually goes.

  • Protein first, by choicePick which three nutrients sit on your Home screen — protein, fibre and sugar can replace the default macro trio.
  • Fibre you can actually seeThe nutrient that fades first when you're eating less, tracked per meal and as a weekly average.
  • Watch sugar fall — then hold itThe habit that changes fastest on a GLP-1, and the first to come back. Worth a record.
  • Logging that survives a bad daySay “half a chicken salad and a yoghurt” out loud, or photograph what's left on the plate.

General information, not medical advice. FuelForm is not a medical device and doesn't diagnose, treat or prescribe.

Progress

Days of logging turn into something you can read.

Weight trend, nutrient gaps and a searchable history — built from what you actually logged, with no filler data in between.

How it works

Three steps to log. One to see where it's going.

  1. Describe the meal

Type, speak, photograph or scan. Whatever's quickest with one hand free.

  2. Check the estimate

The AI proposes ingredients, portions and macros. Adjust anything that looks off.

  3. Approve and move on

It lands in your day, your history and — if you want — Apple Health.

  4. Review your progress

Weight trend, nutrient averages and every logged day — revisit and edit any of it later.

Honest by design

An estimate, clearly labelled as one.

AI nutrition numbers are estimates, and we'd rather say so than dress a guess up as a measurement. FuelForm is built so you always know what it knows.

  • Nothing is lockedEvery ingredient, portion and macro can be edited after the fact.
  • No invented dataYour charts and streaks are built from your logs only — never padded with samples.
  • Apple Health is opt-inFuelForm asks before it reads or writes anything, and works fully without it.
  • Not a medical deviceFuelForm supports your own decisions; it doesn't diagnose or prescribe.

FAQ

How do I use the app?

Describe the meal in whichever way is fastest — type it, say it out loud, photograph the plate or scan a barcode. The AI comes back with the ingredients, portions and macros it thinks it saw; you correct anything that's off and approve it. It lands in your day, your history and, if you've connected it, Apple Health. Later you can reopen any entry and change it.

How accurate are the estimates?

FuelForm does not claim lab-grade or guaranteed accuracy. Portions, hidden ingredients and image quality can make an estimate wrong, and the small internal reliability checks are engineering tests rather than independent accuracy validation. FuelForm shows the ingredient breakdown, flags uncertain entries for review, and lets you correct every value before it counts. The methodology page explains the limits.

What will it cost?

FuelForm is free to download. Any available subscriptions, eligible trials and local prices are shown on the App Store before purchase.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 and later.

Is FuelForm available now?

Yes. FuelForm is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The download buttons on this page open the verified listing; no waiting list or email is required.

Do I have to connect Apple Health?

No. Health is entirely optional. If you do connect it, FuelForm can write your nutrition and read weight — and you choose exactly which types to share in iOS.

What happens to my food photos?

Food photos are sent for analysis so the AI can identify the meal. The raw image is removed before the resulting food entry is persisted locally or through cloud sync. Any retention by the AI provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy; FuelForm's privacy policy explains the data flow in more detail.

Can I track protein instead of calories?

Yes. In Profile → Nutrition Goals you pick which three nutrients appear on your Home screen out of protein, carbs, fat, sugar, fibre and sodium — so protein, fibre and sugar can replace the default macro trio. You set every target value yourself, so they can be the numbers your clinician gave you rather than a generic default. Here's the five-minute setup.

Does FuelForm track fibre and sugar?

Yes — fibre, sugar and sodium are tracked per meal and over time alongside protein, carbs and fat, each with its own editable daily target. Sugar is left unset by default, because total sugar includes what occurs naturally in fruit and dairy; you choose the limit if you want one.

Can I use FuelForm if I'm on a GLP-1 or another peptide?

Yes. FuelForm is a nutrition tracker, not a medical device — it doesn't screen you, prescribe anything or ask what you're taking. Whether a medication is right for you is a decision for you and your prescriber. What the app does is show you what you actually ate, which matters more than usual when your appetite is suppressed. There's a full collection on GLP-1 tracking if you want the detail.
