Tracking on GLP-1 medication and peptides

When appetite changes during treatment, a food record can help you and your care team review what you eat. Explore protein, fibre and practical tracking alongside your care plan.

What this collection covers

Start with protein and fibre during GLP-1 treatment for the evidence behind intake guidance and the limits of general targets. The collection also covers recording meals, reviewing sugar intake and discussing treatment transitions. An intake record supports a conversation; it does not establish nutritional adequacy or guarantee a weight outcome.

Nothing here tells you whether to take a medication, what dose to use, or when to stop. That is between you and your prescriber. This is about what to measure while you do.

Questions we get asked

Can I use FuelForm if I'm taking a GLP-1 or another peptide?

FuelForm records food and nutrients; it does not assess whether medication is appropriate or decide doses. Your prescribing team handles treatment decisions. Review nutrition goals and the food record with your clinician or dietitian as part of your care.

Can I choose protein and fibre for the Home screen?

Yes. In Profile → Nutrition Goals, select three Home nutrients from protein, carbs, fat, sugar, fibre and sodium. If all three slots are full, remove a selection before adding another, then save. Calories remain visible. Use goals that fit your care plan; an app default is not a treatment recommendation.

Does FuelForm track fibre and sugar?

Yes. Fibre, sugar and sodium are tracked per meal and over time alongside protein, carbs and fat, each with its own editable daily target. Sugar is left unset by default because total sugar includes what occurs naturally in fruit and dairy — you choose the limit if you want one.

Why does protein matter so much on a GLP-1?

Smaller meals can make adequate protein harder to achieve. Protein needs and suitable muscle-strengthening activity depend on your health and care plan. Food logging can help review intake, but it cannot measure muscle loss or guarantee against weight regain.
